Zoom 2 Teeth Whitening
Our office is thrilled to offer Zoom 2 Teeth Whitening for our patients. This system provides practically instant results. Instead of suffering through weeks of trying to stick strips to your teeth in hopes of teeth that are a few shades whiter, you can have teeth that are up to eight shades whiter in just one hour.
What’s your special occasion? Whether you are a bride-to-be or a determined job seeker, having a bright sparkling smile will help get you noticed. Even if you are just tired of looking in the mirror and seeing teeth stained by food and drink, certain medications, or just age, teeth whitening can help you feel better about the way you look. Schedule an appointment to come in and talk to us and find out how we can help you get red-carpet ready.
Is Zoom 2 Safe?
Zoom 2 is completely safe. We administer the treatment here in our office, and we watch you carefully while the product is working. Although Zoom 2 uses a higher concentration of whitener than over-the-counter products, it is applied in such a way that it only contacts your teeth and not your gums so as to prevent irritation. Additionally, if you are concerned about your sensitive teeth, Zoom 2 contains additional ingredients that work to desensitize your teeth and reduce discomfort.
Is Teeth Whitening Permanent?
While your results with Zoom 2 will be long lasting, they are not intended to be permanent. Over time, your teeth may again become discolored -- especially if you consume foods and drinks that are known to be staining. The natural aging process will also eventually lead to teeth discoloration. Once you have had your teeth professionally whitened with Zoom 2, you will only need to return for occasional maintenance. For permanent teeth whitening options, talk to Dr. Briese about porcelain veneers or crowns.
What is the Teeth Whitening Process?
Before we begin whitening your teeth, Dr. Briese will give you a thorough examination to check the condition of your teeth and gums. Dr. Briese will also discuss your oral hygiene habits with you to make sure that you will benefit from teeth whitening.
Dr. Briese will also take note of any crowns or veneers you currently have as these will not respond to Zoom 2. If you have crowns or veneers, we will be careful not to whiten your teeth beyond the shade of your restorations otherwise the coloration of your teeth will not look even.
After prepping your lips and gums, Dr. Briese will apply the Zoom 2 gel to your teeth. The special activating light will work on the gel. You will be able to relax during this time while the gel is working. The entire procedure is made up of three 15-minute sessions. After the three sessions are over, the gel will be removed, and your teeth will be cleaned using a special toothpaste that helps to reduce sensitivity.
Dr. Briese will discuss your maintenance options with you. These include at-home maintenance options as well as in-office maintenance. A commitment to good oral hygiene will help your results last longer. If you smoke, quitting will help you keep your results for much longer as well.
